Re: Jamie came home last night!
Awww welcome home Jamie! He looks totally adorable and from reading your other posts I think you are going to bond with him fast. You sound so dedicated to him already which I love to hear :D In the first few days a puppy needs to find his feet. I remember Howard being very timid and cautious and wh...

We would love to meet you and Archie - if only we were a bit closer!
I think Archie and Howard would be like two mischievous brothers

Re: Is our new puppy a Sheltie??
Sweet!
Looks VERY Sheltie like to me! If there is a mix in there it is not too evident (to my eyes anyway). What do other people think?
If you have more pics, please post them. You will probably know for sure when she's fully grown.

Re: Considering a Sheltie for a Service Dog
Wow I've never heard of this, what a fantastic job for a Sheltie! They are very sensitive dogs - some more than others of course. So it's definitely a case of understanding their personalities to see which ones would make the best DAD. We have two boys from different litters (same father, different ...

Re: Fence Height
We have 1 meter fence and it's fine, because although they can jump up in the air, it's too tall for them and they never take a running jump at the fence anyway. (Our friend's Jack Russell boings straight over in one clean motion, it's amazing. But I don't ever see Shelties do this.) Also make sure ...

Re: Furminator?
I have a Furminator and I can see why people think it breaks the fur, because it does seem to have a sharp edge to it. I asked the makers about it and they said: "Since the topcoat lays flatter the coat doesn't look as full, most people think this is because of some sort of cutting action. However, ...

Re: How to Create an Avatar
Hi Michelle and Maggie - welcome! Avatars have to be small as they go in the margin next to your name. I resized this photo of Maggie for you, to fit the 150 x 150 pixel requirement. I've attached it here. All you need to do now is right click on the new image and save it to your computer as "shelti...
