what should I do?

Post by Curtis Meighan » Mon Aug 08, 2011 12:50 pm

Me and my Fiancee are getting a sheltie puppy and are wondering what we should do, should we keep him on the puppy kibble that the breeder is feeding him (walmart Brand) or switch to something else. Thanking everyone inadvance

Slowly switch him over to a better quality food over a period of weeks. Drastic changed can result in upset tummies & loose poops.

I would switch over gradually to a better food, the best quality that you can afford. There are some really good ones out there that are not real expensive. Check your local petstore. Emma was on Eukanuba when I brought her home. I switched to Taste of the Wild but this caused itchy skin for Liam. I now have them on Summit from Petcurean, now that they are adults.

Hey there, it's always best to feed your
puppy or dog the best your budget
can afford as it affects their health
and longevity.
It shouldn't take but a very few days to make
this switch;by gradually mixing it in the
original food. I know our precious babies
systems are not all the same; but MY opinion
, I wouldn't purchase another bag of the un-
desired food to stretch it out for days.
Our experience was 4 or 5 days worked fine without any re-percussions.

Hello Mark, Just had to tell you that photo of your pup with the bow in her hair - way off the cuteness scale! :)
