Food Recall

Post by sadie&carson » Mon May 07, 2012 8:45 pm

Has anyone had any of the recalled bags of TOTW, Natural Balance, or any of the other Diamond company foods? If so then what have you switched over to? Mine were on Diamond Naturals chicken and rice and the Naturals Lamb and Rice puppy formula and all 3 had upset stomachs. Now I'm looking into better quality food for sure. Any good opinions of the Merrick foods?

(also Natural Balance has been put on the list)

Also a few Wellness foods from this plant are also being recalled.

I don't know anything about Merricks. I use Petcurean (Summit Holistic) which they just love. I like it because it is a Canadian product, with only the lamb imported from outside the country.

I looked it up on the dog food analysis site and they gave it 5 stars, so I think I will give it a try and see how it goes.

Thanks for posting the recall info ... I am feeding my puppy Flynn the "Wellness Super 5 Mix Just for Puppy" food ... luckily the one he is on has not been recalled (scary-feeling !)

Checked the Wellness website and called my petfood store ... the following is the food that is on a voluntary recall ....

Wellness Complete Health® Super5Mix® Large Breed Puppy, 15 lb. and 30 lb. bags and 5 oz. sample bags with best by dates of JAN 9 2013 through JAN 11 2013.

I swapped to Go natural Salmon for one girl. Others are on Now Fresh, which is grain free. Seems good.
